Solar Moonshot Program Grantee

“For the past decade, First Parish UU church of Northborough, MA has worked on measures to progressively improve our buildings' energy efficiency. The Solar Moonshot grant provides the needed funding to progressively decarbonize church operations. We are inspired by the many benefits brought to life by this 15 kwatt array: This summer, the church lawn will be mown using solar-charged battery power. The 5th annual Soular Jazz Fest will amplify melodies using 100% sun energy. Any surplus generation of solar electrons may be shared with neighboring churches. Solar panel installations create economic opportunity with good jobs; help clean the air and cool the planet; and renew hope.
