Solar Moonshot Program Grantee

Dubuque County Energy District
"The Renew Dbq low-to-moderate income solar project sets a standard in the transition to efficient, clean and renewable energy. This public and private partnership leverages financial and in-kind support to reduce the upfront cost to solar energy. By bringing neighbors who are often last in the energy transition to the table, Renew Dbq looks to establish a Solar Renewable Energy Certificate (SREC) program, the first in Iowa. The Solar Moonshot grant is able to aid in leveraging the case to start with neighbors who are most negatively impacted by energy burdens and find a way to make a total market transformation."
