Solar Moonshot Program Grantee

School District of La Crosse
"The School District of LaCrosse is very excited to be close to completing our first Solar project at Hamilton Elementary. The project is part of a 18,000 sq ft addition that is not only for school use, but community use as well including the Boys and Girls club. We are very pleased to know that we will be close to completely offsetting utility costs of the new addition with the use of solar power. Obviously this is not just a huge advantage for our District, but the community and most importantly the overall environment. We plan on using the system as a teaching tool as well, and hope to inspire our youth to consider a future in alternative energy practices and possible careers. All of this was made possible with the help from the Solar Moonshot Program and now that we are truly seeing the advantages of Solar Power, we are already looking ahead to more projects in the near future. We can't thank you enough for the grant we were awarded and the wonderful work your organization is doing."
