“In the spring of 2018, the city of Duluth, MN that we live in, received a climate vulnerability report which identified the populations most vulnerable when it comes to climate change. Given that Loaves and Fishes was founded to help the most vulnerable people in our city, including those experiencing homelessness, it's vitally important that we address climate change and the environmental injustice through our work. We are grateful for the opportunity to install roof-top solar with support from the Solar Moonshot Program that will reduce our carbon footprint, allow access to solar energy by vulnerable populations, and reinvest our financial savings into the populations we serve.”
