Solar Moonshot Program Grantee

“The Dubuque Rescue Mission Garden is excited to take a big step toward our goal of resiliency by going solar! Every year we grow thousands of seedlings in our greenhouse and electricity is one of the highest costs to this endeavor – solar will cover that cost and more! Our seedlings are primarily for our own garden, which produces over 2000 pounds of food each season for our free meal program, but we also cultivate seedlings for a few other not-for-profit gardens and plant giveaways in the area.”
